Freak Fire Accident at Hospital

A very bizarre incident i encountered during the forceful stay at the hospital when my mother was getting treated for some heart pumping related issue.

In the wee hours, when my mother got upto use the rest room and then we just talking,  suddenly noticed some fumes in the room.  First assumption was that some of the devices we had put on charge,  after the switching of all of then resulted in no reduction in the smoke in the room.

I decided to quickly to open the room and get some fresh air and also found the other rooms bay were also fuming only to realise that there has been fire in the hospital. We were in a state of shock and not able to realise. My wife and mom managed to get down to the ground floor. My mom could barely walk so was in the wheelchair standing outside the hospital premises at about 5 AM in the morning.

I managed to stay back in the floor and help other patients in the floor to reach to safety, the place was in high in commotions and emotiond running high from patients and attendees who were dejected by the callous attitude under display in the regard.

Following day we expected the hospital authority to have formally shared their apologies on the same and that was appalling indeed.

The most disheartening was a single wheelchair per floor and use of the  lift in such a fire accident displays poor fire training skills available  abd need of the hour to be trained adequately to face such exigencies which can occur anytime.

How i wish that i could have said more transparently.
